About Glasshouse Country Christian College

Glasshouse Country Christian College, which is a ministry of the Glasshouse County Baptist church, took its first 16 students on the 31st January 2000. We currently have over 335 students with a projected enrolment of around 400 by the end of 2007.

The College is situated in the beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland within the friendly country township of Beerwah. It is built on a 4Ha site in close proximity to local sporting facilities, railway station and town centre. Presently the College offers education for preschool to year nine and will cater for prep - year 12 by 2009.

The College seeks to provide high quality private education that is affordable for the average family.

The staff of the College are committed Christians dedicated to providing the very best education for the students in their care. They see their role as more of a calling than just a job or vocation. From this flows their commitment to providing high quality education for your children.

At present the College provides 8 computer equipped classrooms and one computer laboratory fully equipped with 30 computers and a data projector.

Most play areas are shaded and include an extensive play gym and our "Little Red Cafe" which provides opportunities for physical and social development.

All primary and most secondary classrooms are air-conditioned.

At the start of 2006 we opened our new purpose built buildings which include a computer laboratory, a home econimics room with a number of well designed work stations, a resource area, an office for the Chaplain & GO plus a number of spacious classrooms.

The College works closely in partnership with parents who are always welcome and  encouraged to play a supporting role within the College as volunteers to assist with extra reading and other activities.

We will endeavour to provide the human and practical resources, the environment , the encouragement and opportunities to develop the gifts and talents God has given their children so they may respond to and fulfill the call of God in their lives.
